A REAL Look Inside TITANS of CNC
July 1, 2024 3:49 pm
One of the most prominent figures in the manufacturing media landscape, Titan Gilroy and TITANS of CNC have evolved from a production machining empire into an education-providing content juggernaut. But as with any movement that draws attention, with praise can often come criticism. How much of the TITANS OF CNC world is applicable in the reality that many job shops face? How much is flash and flair, and what are the real contributions to the industry being made? We’ll be diving into this and more, chronicling Ian Sandusky from Lakewood Machine & Tool’s visit to the BOOMBASTIC 2024 Open House in Flower Mound, Texas.

Hi Titan,
First off, thank you for what you are doing for the MFG industry. We are trying to grind copper plates flat. We have Okomoto surface grinders and with a silicon carbide grinding wheel we cannot keep the copper from going out of flat. Plate size is approx. .375 x 9.0 square with some milled pockets one one side. We annealed the plate before machining and then again after. i read something about waxing the grinding wheel, which what what we are trying today. The plate is just blocked in on table as copper is naturally is non magnetic. Would be great to get your thoughts.
thanks again.
