Grizzly Releases the New South Bend, SB1128, 7″ x 9-3/8″ 1 HP Metal-Cutting Bandsaw

Bellingham, Washington – Grizzly Industrial, Inc. is excited to introduce the South Bend SB1128 7″ x 9-3/8″ 1 HP Metal-Cutting Bandsaw, a powerful and easy-to-use machine designed for professional metal shops.

Mike Bergman, a Product Manager and longtime metalworker, shared, “We designed the South Bend SB1128 with professional metalworkers in mind. We wanted a bandsaw that’s not only powerful but also versatile and easy to use. Features like the swivel mast and built-in coolant system really help make tough jobs quicker and more precise, which is what our customers have been asking for.”

This heavy-duty bandsaw is built to handle tough cutting jobs with ease. Featuring a 1 HP, single-phase motor and variable blade speeds from 55 to 255 FPM, it offers precision and control for cutting a variety of metal materials.

One standout feature is its quick-release/lock swivel mast, which allows the blade to adjust from 45° left to 60° right, letting you make angled cuts without needing to reposition the workpiece or the vise. It’s perfect for projects requiring accuracy and versatility.

Other convenient features include a quick-lock/release vise for fast and secure clamping, a cutting fluid system to keep the workpiece blade cool and extend life, a sliding-position front vise for additional clamping flexibility, and an automatic blade shut-off for safety and reduced blade wear.

The SB1128 also comes with a sturdy stand and integrated splash pan to collect chips and fluid, keeping your shop clean and efficient. Its variable-speed blade system, as well as adjustable hydraulic downfeed, and centralized controls make operation simple and fast.
